I've always lived by "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all". So if I can't be constructive in my criticism of people's art/writing/creative pieces, then I don't say anything about it. That way, I can't be a jerk and nobody's feelings get hurt. Too bad there are a lot of people out there who never learned that rule. :(
