1. I've been modding a writing community for a few months, and wanted to open it up to everyone here. valleyofthemuse is a weekly prompt-based community for original stories, poetry, character studies, etc. Artists/photographers are also welcome! (I mod it with my other journal)

2. Have I mentioned how much I've enjoyed snegurochka_lee's pervy_werewolf entry? It's been an incredible ride, and I can't believe there's only one chapter left to be posted tomorrow! Go check it out The Adventures of Remus J. Lupin, Aspiring Sex God!!

3. I'm done travelling for work until October! *does dance of joy* Here's some pics of Niagara Falls from my hotel room

4. Have you heard of the Minipops? They've been coming up a lot in recent conversations, so I googled them and found out it was originally a British TV show that was considered horrible! And to think, when I was a kid I would have done anything to be a Minipop. (For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, it was groups of kids who would sing 80s pop songs and dress up like the stars they were imitating).

5. Two Saturdays ago, I had the pleasure of attending a bachelorette party where we learned how to pole dance! It was so much fun, and the best workout I've had in ages. A friend of mine has a stripper pole in her living room (buddy of her bf's bought it for his wife who thought it was a horrible idea). We had a former dancer come in and show us some moves, and I learned how to do the spinny thing! My right arm and shoulder are still a bit sore - I have zero body strength - and I had some bruises on the inside of my thigh. But soooooo worth it! It was great hanging out with the girls, and later that night the guys joined us at the friends house where I got to show my SO my newly acquired skills :)

6. Am still working on getting pics for the picspam meme. Was going to post some today, but they all seem to be really blurry.

7. I need a new icon. Angelina just isn't doing it for me these days. I blame Brad Pitt ;)
