These days
Have been quietly writing fic the last few weeks. I'm working on an original drabble, where one paragraph is just kicking my ass *shakes fist at paragraph*.

I'm also 2000 words into my snupin_santa fic *does happy dance*

Usually, I procrastinate when it comes to writing fic for a challenge - either I've signed up for too many, or I have absolutely no idea what to do with the request. Some of you may remember my whining from last year, saying how I'd never sign up for anything ever again. Turns out I can do one challenge per year. Although, the ADWT birthday sign-up is calling out to me.

I'm also working on the house again - we bought new couches (black leather!), I decorated a bathroom mirror with glass tiles, and painted the upstairs hallway a pretty taupe colour.

Time in a Bottle, a story in 4 parts by arionrhod (SS/RL, R rating overall)
Author Summary: After Dumbledore's funeral, a grieving Remus goes searching for answers about Severus Snape. What he finds out turns his whole life literally upside down.
While part 4 is still to come, the story has been such a great joy to read. It's a de-aging fic, but tackled from such a creative point of view. The story has been a great adventure to follow. I don't want to reveal anything spoilery about the story, but believe me when I say I've been refreshing my flist several times a day to check for updates. No, I haven't been stalking arionrhod's lj to check for updates, why do you ask?

Days Go By (in two parts - complete) by corvidae9 (H/D, R rating)
Author Summary: After a grievous miscommunication that leads to five years apart, Harry has difficulty keeping his life together in the face of Draco's revenge tactics. The fact that he manages to succeed only makes Draco more intent. (Veela!Draco/Werewolf!Harry)
I love a well written creature fic. In this story, corvidae9 brings out Harry's self-sacrificing personality who prevails and plods on despite everything he's thrown. Draco is beautifully prissy and manipulative, yet determined and a survivor. He's perfectly imperfect in his complexity. The love story and the characterization are the focus - the veela and werewolf are just great bonuses.
