This past week, my drabble won first place out of the five remaining contestants!!!!!!! *jumps up and down*
The challenge for the week was a character sketch of Nymphadora Tonks, set during HBP. I'd like to thank
snegurochka_lee for inspiring me to think about her character in a much more meaningful way than just a twit who was lovesick over Remus. I sincerely hope that she gets treated better in book 7. And if you haven't, go read Five Dead Women by
snegurochka_lee for amazing and strong female portrayals.
Title: Dumbledore
Word Count: 100
She could hear the muttering behind her, the gossiping about her hair colour, but then Nymphadora Tonks knew they wouldn’t understand.
Albus Dumbledore had.
He used to keep cotton candy in his desk for her when she was called in for disrupting Potions class again. Or Charms. Or Transfiguration. The first time she walked into his office, she wondered whether he would pity her for being part Black or whether he would ask her to show off her skills.
The Headmaster had done neither.
Letting go of Remus’ hand, Tonks lowered a bouquet of wispy pink sugar onto his tomb.
