To me (at least in this piece) Lily really does love Severus, but as a brother. The kiss was just an expression of the affection she felt. Being so young, she didn't really think it could be misinterpreted as anything but that. It was never her intention to lead him on.

It was challenging to get everything that I wanted to get in with the very short wordcount required by the fest, but I'm so happy at the quality of feedback I've received from everybody.
