Hmmm, I think I like the first one the best. I have to agree with [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] when she said you put a lot of backstory into just 100 words. I also have to say, I loved how you ended that little drabble on a hopeful note. 'I'm not sure' leaves room for so many possibilities. :)
