While going through my old fic and reorganizing folders/papers, etc., I came across this drabble that I wrote for a 100-challenge comm (I honestly can't remember which one) and never posted in time.

The prompt was "From bad to worse".

He watched as amber eyes brightened while the plan was explained. The Golden Trio had found a way to bring Sirius back, but needed the blood of a friend or lover. The two would be bound, and that would be enough to anchor him to this world.

Severus couldn’t stay and watch his lover abandon him again.

Black was brought over, and the werewolf held him in his arms. But Remus’ thoughts were on another dark-haired man who had disappeared into the night and hadn’t been heard from since.

He didn’t find the matching rings until it was too late.
