Here's part two of the Spike/Xander drabbles for my
fall_for_sx day.
Part One can be found here.
Drink'n'Drugs
Xander was pretty sure that the magic weed was only supposed to help him sleep, not make everything feel so soft and good and why wasn’t the world covered in chenille blankets? Chenille was a funny word.
What time was it?
“Only two minutes from the last time you checked.”
Spike. Spike covered in chenille.
Spike was like having a puppy, and he’d been a bad master by not petting him often. He gripped Spike closer as he petted a chenille arm, only vaguely registering the girls’ gasps behind him. The world should be covered in chenille Spike’s, Xander decided.
Epics
Xander jumped off the speeding boat moments before it crashed into the dock. He cursed his bad luck and hoped that there were no leeches or crocodiles in the water.
The search for Spike had taken him two years, and even though he knew he was getting closer, it was still frustrating that after all this time, he couldn’t find him.
He hoped that this new lead would pan out, because Xander was getting really tired of being attacked by mysterious assassins. Swimming to shore, he didn’t notice the man hiding in the water with a knife between his teeth.
Established Relationship
Aimlessly wandering the malls, Xander had no idea what to get for their anniversary.
Book? He’d already bought him one for Christmas.
Jewelry? Did that last year. And the year before.
Shirt and tie? Lame.
Socks? Even more lame.
Electric toothbrush? Portable cooler? Beer?
Spike wasn’t the kind of vampire who was easy to buy for. Anything he wanted he bought. Or stole. Or absconded. And Xander was an idiot for thinking he could find something for the vampire.
A ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ scarf caught his eye. Maybe that would be ok. If not, he could always promise blow-jobs again.
Extra Dark
Spike made another cut into Xander’s chest, slowly dragging the razor as blood welled-up. Xander struggled against his bonds, but was too scared to move much, undoubtedly worried that the razor would cut too deep.
“We trusted you…” he tried, but Spike cut him off with a rough kiss before returning to his work. The symbol was almost done, and soon everything would be the way it should. He licked the razor, the fear in Xander’s blood making him hard.
He was ready for the ritual and climbed on top of the stone coffin. He couldn’t wait for the chip to burn.
Fairy Stories
Well, how was he supposed to know that saving fairies actually gave you wings, Spike thought miserably as he tried to figure out how to stuff them inside his duster. He knew everyone was going to laugh at him, and it would probably be weeks before anyone at the New Watcher’s Council began looking for a solution.
He wasn’t expecting Xander’s glazed-over look after seeing them for the first time. Or the desire coursing through him as Xander touched and caressed his wings while fucking him. Maybe the fairy was telling the truth when it called the wings a gift.
Final Death
As Xander drew his final breath, Spike felt his eyes moist with tears.
They knew this day was coming, had been waiting for it for over 60 years. Xander figured he’d never make it past 50, what with his love of radioactive foods. But he’d celebrated his 85th birthday in the hospital, and Spike had been hoping to take him home.
Only that would never happen.
He deeply regretted not turning his lover, and hated that he had to watch him grow old and fade away.
As the sun rose, Spike knew there was nothing more for him to see.
First Time
After months of warily treading around one another, Xander and Spike were finally here, together. Xander’s bedroom was dimly lit with candles, and Xander worried that maybe Spike would think he was being idiotic for trying to be romantic. But he’d wanted things to be special.
He was convinced that his nervousness was going to wreck everything.
“Shhhh…relax…we don’t have to do this…” Spike whispered.
Xander looked up at Spike and for the first time, something clicked in his head. Everything was quiet, and things were going to be ok. He smiled, and basked in Spike’s adoration.
Human AU
“And this is where your desk is.”
Trying not to clutch his briefcase to his chest, Xander waved at everyone he was sharing an office with. He dreaded first days, and this one was fulfilling all his expectations of suckage.
A tall wiry blond glared at his outstretched hand and stormed out of the room.
“That was Will,” his new manager said. “Don’t let him scare you off – most of us are nicer than him.”
As his new coworkers got back to work, Xander turned to watch him walk away, wondering if anyone noticed he was checking out Will’s ass.
Hurt/Comfort
Wringing the washcloth, Xander carefully cleaned off the dirt and blood from Spike’s face and hands.
He was glad he’d impulsively taken a shortcut from the Bronze, otherwise the fratboys would have destroyed Spike, and it was unlikely anyone else would intercede. The chipped vampire was still unconscious as Xander stripped him of his shredded clothing, only occasionally whimpering in pain.
Xander carefully checked him over for broken bones, and noticed how underfed he was, ribs showing, the skin translucent and bruised all over. Without the mask of bravado, Spike looked smaller. Weaker.
Xander wondered what else he’d been missing.
Hyena!Xander
Xander grinned. They’d all thought that he was unobservant. A zeppo. And truth be told, he was happy letting his friends think that.
Every so often, the Hyena would be bored and want to come out to play. Usually he tracked and stalked a small animal, occasionally a weaker demon or fledge, and then it would be fine for months.
But ever since Spike had come back, he couldn’t resist taunting him. Showing him flashes of what was inside of him. What he was capable of. The Hyena liked toying with Spike, and if he were honest, so did Xander.

*shrieks* LOOK OUT, XANDER!
Okay, whew!
These are very, very fun. Chenille-covered-Spikes = love. I'd love to read many of them in longer versions, especially the office AU one. Oh, and you've even managed to write the only fairy fic I've liked so far!

Thanks so much for reading! ^_^

I'm actually working on the AU fic (although I write very very slowly), but I'm glad people liked the snippet I posted ^_^

Would dearly *love* to see longer versions of pretty much all of these, LOL, because they were all so good.

I've had so many Spander stories that I wanted to tell, but I couldn't pick just one for my

The most likely longer fics are going to be the Human AU and Xander searching for Spike (that was originally the story I was going to pick, but didn't have enough time to write it out). I'll have to see though - my muse tends to be extremely unpredictable and rarely lets me choose something definitively.
Thanks for reading!
